Teylor Jones '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Teylor Jones and I am heading into my senior year at Jersey Village High School in Houston, TX; where I have been a varsity team member since my freshman year and a Team Captain as of my junior year. I am an energetic, motivated track runner who strives to be the absolute best I can be! I have been running track for almost 5 years. I won 1st place at the Cy Fair District Meet in the 400M my 7th grade year, and 2nd place in the 400M my 8th grade year. It was then that I fell in love with the sport. Since, as a sophmore I advanced to the Gulf Championships in the 400M and  Regionals in the 4x100 Meter Relay, as a junior I advanced to the USATF Gulf Championships and the USATF Regional Meet in the 200M, and leading into my senior year I won  the Gold Medal in the 100M and a Silver Medal the 200M, at the AAU Region 17 Qualifying Meet. This year I qualified for USATF Junior Olympics in the 4x1 Meter Relay and AAU Nationals in the 100M & 200M.

I pride myself in being a hard worker and team player with a great attitude both on the track and in the classroom. Academics are very important to me and I have worked very hard to maintain a 5.71 GPA and ranked in the top 25% of my class. My goal is to be in the top 15% by the end of my senior year.

My goals are to earn a scholarship to run track on a Collegiate level, graduate college with a degree in Physics, Biology or Forensic Science and to one day have the opportunity to compete in the Olympics.

I am open-minded to school size, division level and Geographical Regions.

I can offer great leadership skills, intense work ethic, heart, a positive attitude and core/family values to your team.

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, attending my church's youth functions, traveling, swimming, and shopping!
