I have been running track since fifth grade and cross country since sixth. I have run most years at small private schools and summer/winter track clubs when I could. Running is certainly a passion I have and I am very determined to always work as hard as I can and perform my best. My junior year I transferred to public school in order to be able to compete at a higher level and train with other girls my age.
Academics have always been incredibly important to me. I am just as determined to achieve excellence in the classroom as I am on the track or cross country course. I aim high and work hard to better myself in both the subjects I very much enjoy and those I am not as gifted in.
Being a leader and good example to my team and classmates is something that I have found to be very important as well. I strive to encourage my teammates both through words and actions by working hard and being honest in all that I do.
I am looking to compete for a school that will help me build higher skills in my sport, education, and character. However, my highest goal is to glorify God in all I do, whether at a private or public school. "Christus primatum tenes."
