I found a love for track and field at a very young age. When I was just eight years old, I remember watching older competitors high jumping. I couldn't wait another second until I was nine and old enough to compete. As I have competed throughout my track and field career, I have watched older athletes continue their own career at the collegiate level. This only strengthened my passion for the sport and set a goal that I would still continue to work for to this day. In my younger years of track and field, I hoped that one day I would have what it took to further my career as well. Now that I am nearing my last high school track and field season, I do believe that I have what it takes to compete at the collegiate level. I believe strongly in discipline, dedication, and a strong work ethic in order to achieve my goals both academically and athletically. I also understand that there is always something to learn and room for improvement.
