Chelsea Ikeda '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Chelsea Ikeda. I am a student-athelete at Central High School in Keller, Texas. I'm currently a senior and one of the co- captains of our women's track team. Last year I was able to be a runner for state through region I-5A for discus with my school record breaking throw of 120' 8". I've broken the shot put school record the past three years and school discus records the past two. I try to contribute to my team every meet I go to by gaining as many points as I can. I currently have 19 medals and look at each as a contribution to my team weather it be 10 or 5 points. My desired majors would be either in advertising, physics, psychology, or secondary education. My goals for this season are to break my previous records so I can make myself more appealing to more colleges. Once I get into a college I hope to be one of the top throwers at the school as a freshman and by junior one of the top throwers in the conference.
