Halima Marion '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Halima Marion I'm a senior at Andress High School in El Paso, Texas. I'm 5'3, and I weight 112 lbs. My fastest time in the 200 is a 26.07, and my personal best in the triple jump is 35'11"(which happend at a meet this year.  Our new jumps coach has helped me improve this year and feels I have the potential to jump 38 with a little more work). Some of my accomplishments during my high school career are; qualified for reigonals in the 200 my freshman year; and my junior year i qualified for triple jump,4x1, and 4x4. I also qualified for nationals with my club track team in the 4x4 relay. I was captain of both my high school track and cross country teams my sophomore year. I came in second place in my age group in the Transmountain half marathon here in El Paso last year. I enjoy traveling, and I've attended sports camps throughout the country for both basketball, and cross country over the past few years. I am very open to the idea of moving away from home to attend college if offered a scholarship. I enjoy school and have a particular intrest in studying criminal justice and phsycology. Some of my athletic goals this year are to qualify for state in three events, and to qualify for nationals with my club team. Finally; I would like everyone to know that I'm a hard worker, and a dedicated student athlete who has a great upside( I know I must improve my SAT/ACT and have scheduled to take the test again in the spring. I will be a colligiate student athelete next fall, and whatever college team gives me an opportunity in 2012 will not be disappointed.
