I have played select softball and basketball since I was 5 years old. I started running track in the 7th grade and it didn’t come easy, but I worked at it and later excelled. I played softball and basketball my freshman and sophomore year. Starting my junior year, I decided to focus only on Track and Field. I have noticed that it not only helps me physically but mentally as well. It pushes me to always be responsible and aware of the things I need to get done. I like how it’s an individual sport but also a team sport. This past summer I participated in two Multi’s. The Multi’s remind me of a softball game. Each event is like and inning and the game isn’t over until the final score so you must always keep pushing the limit. I found that participating in the Multi’s and Track and Field in general, is very challenging and I would like to continue to compete in college. Track and Field is rewarding, because I put so much work into practice when it comes time to race, I know that I am prepared. It has been an up and down ride but it has been a great opportunity for me. I have put in a lot of work and time into this and now I am eager and ready for the next level.
