Hello Coaches! I am Ashlyne Rene Page. I am a 16 year old Sophmore at CAK in Knoxville Tn. I began running in 6th grade when my PE teacher recommended me to the cross country coach. I didn't know what I was getting into but loved the coach and decided to give it a try. Little did I know that I would be running from then on : ) I ran all three years of middle school for cross country and ran the 3200, 1600 and 4X800 for the track team. I was ask my 8th grade year to run up for the HS cross country team after my middle school season was over. I placed 13th at the middle school level but was excited to run with the high school team to help in the Regional Championship, where we placed 1st and went on to finish 6th at the state meet in Nashville. In 2011, we won 1st at Regionals where I placed 3rd overall and recieved 1st team all regions and 1st team all state. Our Track season ended in Regional and Sectional championships and State meet where our relay team took 3rd. 2012 Cross Country season was great this year. We took 2nd at Regions where I finished 3rd again but then won the TSSAA A-AA Cross Country State Championship where I finished 16th. I also ran post season at Footlocker Southern Regionals and finsihed 32nd with a 20:10 finish and AAU Nationals where I finished 22nd. We are gearing up for a great T&F season and I have my goals firmly in place! I know that I am young but I KNOW that I want to run for a college team. I have met so many great people through running and love being in a sport where your team mates want you to do well. I am looking forward to the rest of my high school career and will enjoy each step of it but also looking ahead to what I hope is a college running experience also. Thanks for your time. Ashlyne
