Personal Statement

I have been running since I learned how to walk. My first race was a baby crawling competition. My first road race was a two miler, when they said ready, set, go I tripped and scrapped my knee, but I still ended up in 2nd place. Something about the rush of that race made me want to pursue running further. I now run for Mt. Hope High school cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field. I am 5??4?? and I weigh 128 pounds. I have been captain of cross country since my sophomore year and captain of the track and field since my freshman year. When everyone else is complaining about having to work-out that day, I am already out running up the hill to lead my team. I am extremely excited to run at the college level, it has always been my dream. I would like to go to Wheaton College, I love the campus, the traditions, the academics and of course their track team. The school is very family like, they are like a small community. Besides Wheaton College I am keeping my eyes open to all of the possibilities.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
