For 8 years, I played soccer as the only female player on an all boys' team. At the end of my 8th grade season I was awarded most outstanding player in our league of over 1,000 soccer athletes. At the High School level, I decided to pursue running. Racing is my passion and I want to pursue track in particular at the collegiate level. School is definitely something I take seriously, I have challenged myself by taking AP classes my Sophomore/Junior year and also taking advanced math classes. The past 2 years I have competed in 4 events at the Oregon State Track Meet, and qualified for the cross country State Meet this season as well as my freshman year. 4 weeks before our district track meet this past season I started long jumping and I ended up qualifying for the State Meet final and placing. I'm a very versatile athlete having competed twice in the 4x400m at state, the 5k at cross state, the 800m and long jump. I have been injury-free my entire racing career as well. My junior year I want to develop further as a middle distance runner and take that to the next level. My goals for my High School career are to run sub 2:12 in the 800m and long jump over 17'5'', please watch my progress!
