Every since I was little I was always faster than everyone. I played a lot of sports in grade school - baseball, softball, volleyball, basketball, soccer - and my speed helped me to succeed in each. It wasn't until later that I discovered track, and I was hooked after my first race. I have dreamt of running in college ever since. I want to attend a school where the coach will help me to succeed even further and reach my full potential as a track athlete. Unfortunately I had my first injury ever my Junior year and even though I tried to compete for my team, I was unable to sprint full speed. I am healthy now and super excited to improve my times in my upcoming Senior season, hoping to run under 12 seconds in the 100m. I am not sure yet what I want to study in college, academics are not easy for me! But, I work hard and am determined to get a degree. I hope that my athletic ability will help propel me to that goal. I am a very engaging person who loves people and especially team mates. I work hard at everything I do and am excited for the opportunities college will bring.
