When I first transferred over to track from gymnastics, my aspirations were not necessarily to compete at the collegiate level but to simply see how well I could do. I've only been running since August 2015 and jumping since December 2015 and in that short amount of time I believe I've excelled greatly, managing to get a PR every race I've run or matched my PR in every event I've jumped in. In the 200M alone, I went from 28.10s in December 2015 to my now PR 27.06s in February 2016. As I've seen how quickly I'm improving my coaches and I have readjusted our goals to aim for me to compete at the collegiate level.
However, I apply my hard work ethic not only towards track but also towards my academics, expecting nothing less than A's or B's.
I want to attend college so I can get to the next level in my events while receiving a good post secondary education. I think I'd be a great addition to any collegiate program because of my dedication to hard work and my drive for continuous improvement. That being said I decided to stay back an extra year to upgrade certain marks and better my results in hope of a better scholarship.
