Personal Statement

I love sports because it gives me the opportunity to challenge myself against great competition.  I am very competitive. I enjoy the field events in track, soccer and rugby. I put a great deal of emphasis on physical fitness and core strength training.  Every coach and close friends will tell you that I compete at a very high level and do compete with all my effort.  My strength/training coach constantly challenges me to excel beyond that of any other girl in training.  My school Discus and Shot Put coach has mentored me along with other coaches influencing me to be the best I can be.  I currently hold the longest girls discus throw in my school history with 144.8 ft.  I still have a great deal of upward improvement with a high ceiling and want to eventually through for over 165 ft. in high school and the shot put over 46 ft.
I had an injury in fall of my junior year that prevented me from practicing discus till late February and shot put till March.  I still threw 144.8 feet in discus and over 39 feet in shot put.  My distance improved dramatically toward the end of the year as my strength returned and I approached 90 % performance by the end of school year.  I have improved my strength and stamina this summer and expect to have an outstanding year senior year in 2016.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
