Personal Statement

I am a driven athlete that aspires to be better in everything I do both on the field and in the classroom. The more knowledge of anything the better. I try to be a better person today than I was the day before, and try to make the best out of every situation and look for the positive. I want to and am going to make this season and every season after high school the peak of my running career. I am not afraid to work hard and get done what needs to be done. I love to run and that is the bottom line. I love to train hard and compete even harder. I have been apart of a high school team my entire high school career and have enjoyed every minute of it. From the team nights to training hard together and pushing each other to the best of our abilities, my running team has been my family, my support, and my inspiration. Being apart of at least two relay teams every year during track season really puts the emphasis on your ability to pull through and perform to the best of your ability for your team. That is how I am! I get so pumped going out there every time, whether it be on the track or on the cross country course, knowing that when I cross that line I will not only have done myself justice and made myself proud, but I have represented my team and done them justice as well. "Running is an individual sport," says every non-runner. Running is a team sport made up of individuals. We may run individually during a race, but we run together, we train together, and we aspire to greatness together.
