My goal is to compete in Shot put at the collegiate level. I have desire to also learn the hammer and weight throws as my high school does not offer these and I do not live in an area where there are track clubs. Actually I am doing my senior project on the hammer throw so that I will have some practice and knowledge about the event when I enter college.
I have maintained a 4.0 GPA and enjoy school. I am doing an internship this semester in a second grade classroom and I am loving it! I have grown so close to these kids, it has been an awesome experience and has solidified my decision that teaching is what I want to pursue in college.
I am very dedicated to my shot-put workouts, I practice every day as well as participate in weight training at a local gym twice weekly.
I lost my dad to cancer almost 4 years ago and since then I have put a lot of time and energy into my shot put. It is an outlet for me that I love and I know my dad would be so proud of my progress.
