Alexis Cubbage '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alexis Cubbage. I am a graduating senior at Union Catholic Regional High School in Scotch Plains, NJ and planning to attend college in the fall of 2011. My goal is to pursue a degree in education and to continue competing in track & field on a scholarship. I am a seasoned 4-year varsity indoor and outdoor sprinter. I am 5'5" and weigh 115 lbs. My best open event times are 7.58s in the 55M, 12.5s in the 100M, 25.7s in the 200M and 59.2s in the 400M. I have been the captain of the lady Viking sprinters for the past two years. Being captain means that I have to set an example for the other athletes. I come to all practices, and inform my coach of any schedule conflicts in advance. I lead the warm up and cool down drills during practices and meets. I offer advice and support for my teammates. I have participated in the AAU and USATF Track & Field meets since I was 11 years old. I competed in the AAU Junior Olympics as a member of the Plainfield Tsunami Track Club: - 2005 in New Orleans, LA in the 100M, 200M and 4x400M events - 2006 in Knoxville, TN in 100M, 200M and 4x400M events - 2008 in Detroit, MI in the 100M and 200M events I've also run in the 2009 and 2010 Penn Relays in Philadelphia, PA in the 4x100M and the 4x400M relay events. I am a very competitive, determined, and a hard working athlete. I look forward to hearing from you!
