Jasmine Rename '18 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Jasmine Rename and I am currently in the Graduating Class of 2018. I am considered as a mid-distance runner and a thrower. I consider myself as an athlete wanted to try different events and then stick to it and improve as the season progresses. Currently I want to focus on the 800m since I made a transition from sprints to mid-distance. I set high standards for myself as a high school student. I currently had high honor roll for my sophomore year and into my junior year as well. I always want to PR with my type of mentality. I have a humorous personality when I like to make my teammates laugh and enjoy the track program. Even though I can get discouraged easily, I always appreciate the motivation from my teammates and coaches. My past was a rough road, but being on the track is my sanctuary. Once I'm on the track, I'm letting no one stop me or get in my way as an athlete.

I would like to go a Division II School because I want to receive an athletic scholarship, but will still be happy even if I go Division III, I'll just appreciate the fact that I will be going to college to make myself a better individual in the Track and Field program. I am willing to do anything no matter what the risk is when it comes to track and field. I will put my heart out in the race. More motivation equals more success for you as the coach and myself. I'll push if I have to just for my team, may not seem like it at times, but I am always tough on myself to achieve my goals. If I do go to college for track and field, everything would be life-changing to not just myself, but my family and the future coach that will train me in college.
