Alyssa Pompey '18 Recruiting Profile

I have always wanted to go to college and play sports at a college level. I am an extremely determined person to improve my preformance on the track, in terms of running and jumping events, and off the track, in terms of academics. I put in extra reps on the track and stay with teachers after class if I don't understand the material.

Most importantly I have a passion for the success of not only myself, but the overall success of my team. And that showed when I didn't qualify for groups this year, my junior year. I was upset but cheered on my teammates that did make it. On the day of groups, I gave my teammate an encouraging message to help her overcome her anxiety for her race and make it to the meet of champions. I will continue to cheer on the team because I love seeing people reach their goals and PR.
