Alicia Green '12 Recruiting Profile

Did not run track until Sophomore year. My Dad suggested I try it as I was always the fastest player on the soccer field. Once I started running track, I was hooked. I found the one thing that I love to do. I have continued to set personal records in my events regularly, recently culminating with an all-conference recognition, and look forward to continuing to improve into my senior year. I reached the 7th all-time best time in the 55m in winter indoor track, and am looking to continue to mark my name onto the Cherokee all-time lists. I would love nothing more than to continue my track career in college and I know I will be useful teammate on a college track and field team. I am considering a career in a sports-related field, especially in the guidance of younger athletes.

Academically, I am proud to have made the Honors list in my junior year, and I am determined to continue that tradition through my senior year. Academics are extremely important to me and I feel that my academics actually improved when I started running track. Track has taught me a lot about how to focus on what is important, and how to set and achieve goals. That has translated into improved academic achievement.

I am open to attending any kind of school that can offer me both the academic and athletic challenges I'm looking for. I will bring leadership, a team-first attitude and a strong work-ethic and I believe I will be a benefit to any school that I attend.
