Christiana Coughlin '11 Recruiting Profile

I have been extremely passionate about playing sports my whole life and I've recently narrowed down my sports to track and field. I am 5 feet 5 inches tall and weigh 135 pounds. As a sophmore, I placed 6th at regionals in the discus throw and 8th in the shotput. I take great pride in having superior strength despite my size and have found that my accomplishments in the shotput and discus are a good showcase for this strength. I take a lot of time during the offseason to practice whenever i can and give all I have at every opportunity. I am also proud to be the defending champion of the Northern Nevada High School Weightlifting Championships Female Division. Although the academic aspect of high school has been a bit difficult for me the last couple years, I have figured out finally how to balance my life so that my work gets done and this year has been a great year for my grades. I feel that I would fit best in a larger school located in around a city although I would be open to most schools. I am hoping to major in Business Admistration and minor in Marketing. It has been my lifelong dream to participate in college athletics and I've been working my hardest to make this a reality.
