Personal Statement
It is my ultimate goal to attend a quality university while competing in it's track program. I was awarded the NV All State Academic award while earning my Varsity letter in both flag football and track last year. My club coach Randall Cunningham encouraged me to run the steeplechase in the 2013 AAU West Coast Championship where I took first place qualifying for the Detroit Junior Olympics. Competing in the 2013 AAU Junior Olympics in Detroit this summer was the highlight of my track career! I ended up finishing ninth in the nation for my age group. Our Varsity flag football team just finished the season as region champions and NV State runner ups. Track has started and I couldn't be more excited. I have new goals and plan to run hurdles this year in addition to the 400. Track is my passion and I hope to run in college while earning my degree in journalism.
