My goal is to run track while attending college. I attend Malcolm Public High School in Malcolm, NE. I am outgoing, social, creative and I have a lot of friends. I am interested in helping kids, sports training, and animals. I have a passion to run track and have been recognized as a top sprinter since the eighth grade. My coaches and trainer will tell you I am a focused and driven competetor on the track.
My Sophmore year stats are not good. I was sick for nearly 18-months and went through a lot of medical tests. A virus attacked my immune system and my body wouldn't recover. My grades and attendance suffered a lot due to my illness and numerous Dr. appts in Omaha, NE at Children's Hospital. The good news is I am back and better than ever. I started my Junior year back in Cross Country, enrolled in acceleration training and impressed my trainer with my results and commitment. I was ranked top 1 and 2 in Class C Girls 100m all year and in the top 5 Class C 200m all year. I run four events every meet; 100, 200, 4x1 & 4x4 so I ran six races every meet and placed 1st and 2nd at each meet in 100m, and mostly 2nd in 200m. I've qualified for State my Sophomore (4x1) and Junior (100m & 4x1) years, and placed both years. I'm confident I would have qualified for State in the 200m my Junior year also but had a hamstring strain just before Districts and I didn't want to give up the 100m opportunity at State.
