I began running track in eighth grade and my only regret would be not starting sooner. After my first race, I was hooked. I would love to continue my athletic career competing at a collegiate level.
I am very hard working and strive to do better every race I run. I have an explosive start out of the blocks and a strong finish. I am a leader on an off the track. I was given the nickname, "Mama Track," by my teammates because of my enthusiasm and constant encouragement.
I maintain a high GPA and attempt to challenge myself with advanced classes. I believe academics are important and should be taken seriously. I volunteer regularly and I am a member of the National Honor Society.
In college, I aspire to be a student-athlete. I believe it would be an amazing opportunity to compete at a collegiate level and I believe I am capable of success.
