I have been a team captain for the last 3 years and love being on the track team. Running is a true passion of mine and I strive to be the best I can be and train at 100% all the time. My teammates often accuse me of being insane because of my passion for running and because of how much hard work I put into what I love. I am known to be an athlete who is harder on myself than my coaches are. I compete for my time and my goals. I may win a race but if I did not reach my goal or set a new personal record I am unsatisfied. I wake up every morning and do additional workouts outside of practice to strengthen my core and body for running. I eat right and take care of my body so that I may perform my very best. I have always honored myself in being a rolemodel to younger athletes at my school as well as other students. I keep myself in good company and away from situations where what I have worked so hard for could be taken away from me. I am very goal oriented and would rather be a record holder than the pariter. Before engaging in any activity I ask myself how it could affect my future in both track and my professional career someday. I also keep in mind the example I am setting for my younger brothers, cousins, and my children one day. I have no real preference to where I go to college, all I ask for is a great physical therapy program and an offered minor in coaching.  I am very excited to become a physical therapist as well as a coach. It's a dream of mine to be a mid-distance coach one day as well as be a college track athlete. I hope to be the role model to at least one upcoming runner and to help them become their very best as my coaches have tried their best to do for me.
