Ashley Field '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ashley Field and I am a senior at Marine City High School. I have competed in track as a thrower since 7th grade. I hold the Marine City Middle School 7th and 8th grade shot put records. I've had the privilege of being Captain for the 8th and 11th grade Teams, and will again be Captain my senior year. I've been Varsity since my freshman year and haven't looked back. With hard work, dedication, and training, I have steadily improved. My freshman year I broke 100 feet in discus. My sophomore year I was MAC All-League. My junior year, I am proud to say I made State for Division 2 in discus. I entered State ranked 18th and left ranked 9th. My goals for my senior year are to improve in shot put and discus, destroy Marine City High School records, and place first in State for discus. With support and guidance from my coaches, I know I will achieve these goals. I do not take this sport for granted. I love these events. My athletic hard work goes hand in hand with academics. I push myself not only physically, but also mentally. I am proud to say that I take challenging High School courses such as Advanced Physics, four years of Spanish, AP Calculus, and AP Biology. My future career is focused on Anesthesiology. I am seeking a college that offers a Pre-Medicine program, and I am open-minded about the location and size of the Institution. My leadership skills allow me to shine WITH the Team, and dedication to the courses will allow me to fulfill my career goals.
