Personal Statement

Track and field to me is the best sport in the world. Its a great escape and feeling when Im running at a meet and I hit the finish line knowing I put forth my best effort. I have been running track since I was a freshmen, I got my varsity letter in both track and cheerleading that year. But I knew the day I came to track and field freshmen year what my new main sport was going to be and I wanted to be the best and run in college. The day we had to "try out" to see who was going to be a sprinter and who wasn't we ran a 100 meter dash and I was sooo surprised when I actually out ran all of the girls that had already been sprinting for the team since they were freshmen, I felt confindent and surprised. Im very humble with my talent in track. Although I do always try to show the coaches what Ive got at every meet. Every meet big or small is a huge adrenaline rush for me, and a huge deal even if I dont feel good the pain seems like it jsut floats away. Im looking for a division 2 school to in Michigan or out of state with the majors in Veternary or health care. I want to make an impact on a by team running in college would do that for me, Id work very hard and achieve to be the best of my ability. I ran sprints freshmen, sophmore, and junior year. I had just wanted to try hurdles last year (junior year) just to try and see how good I would be and I loved them. I took to three stepping in between hurdles very fast I can learn quickly. 100 Hurdles its definently my thing, long jump and sprints too. I also do the 4 by 2 4 by 1 and 4 by 4. I'll keep a positive attitude the whole season. I want to try 300 hurdles this year. Track is the thing i want to do in college more then anything Ive ever wanted. I am now in college running track and field at my college and participating in the cheerleading program as well my last season was a great one! I ran the 100 hurdles in a 15.32, and my best long jump was 18 feet 2 inches! I was ery consistant with these jumps in long jump I worked very hard for what I got out of last season! I am hoping to attend a larger college on a full ride scholarship for track and field, I wish to compete at the Division II or Division I level. I also run the 4x400MR, the 4x100MR, the 200 dash, the 400 mhurdles, and the triple jump. I have two years of eligability left! I want to show a bigger school that I am capable of kicking some butt on the field and track!
