Attending Aquinas College in the fall 2014.
I started running both cross country and track in 7th grade. I fell in love with the sport. Running is my passion. I enjoy it because it is an individual sport, but also a team sport. I like that it keeps me active and I can also continue to participate in this sport now and in the future. At Brandon Public Schools I ran cross country from 7th-9th grade earning my varsity letter in 9th grade. I also ran track at Brandon from 7th-8th grade. After the 1st trimester of the 9th grade my family moved and I transferred into Clarkston Public Schools. I have been running track at Clarkston since 9th grade and earned my varsity letter in 11th grade. I began running cross country at Clarkston in 10th grade which is more challenging and a stronger team then Brandon. In 9th grade my personal record for the 5k was 24:37 and last year my personal record for the 5k was 20:21 where I came in first place at the regionals in the open race. I had the opportunity to be alternate for the high school cross country state meet for Division 1 at Michigan International Speedway. My current personal record for cross country for the 5k is 20:21 and for track in the 1600 m is 6:01. I also train during the summer and winter months. My goal for my senior year is to finish below 20:00 for the 5k in cross country and to finish below 6:00 in the 1600 m in track. I would also like the opportunity to run cross country at the collegiate level.
