I have learned early on that the only way to achieve success is to work for it. I utilized that knowledge to mold myself into the very determined and hard-working person I am today. I use this motivation in everything I do from athletics to academics. I like to challenge myself because I know that is the only way to improve.
In school I have a 3.8 GPA but I also challenge myself in multiple honors and AP classes so although I don't have a 4.0, I push myself to my limits. I really enjoy the math and sciences, so I decided to double up on math this year. Because of this love for those classes I am thinking of pursuing either a major in physical therapy or engineering. The more creative side of me loves art as I paint, sing, and make wire-wrapped jewelry. I also have taken classes in painting and Art 2 in school.
As for athletics, that is where for hard work meets passion. I have a love for track that my parents almost describe as an obsession. My coach likes to say "you're a student of the sport!" I go beyond just practicing, I even go home and research hurdling techniques and watch youtube videos to help give me the extra edge. I know my hurdle form and block starts are no where near perfect and I could easily drop more time off my PR with perseverance. So I work everyday and continue to race with my heart.
