Chelsey White '16 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I'm Chelsey White. I've always dreamt of running at a collegiate level ever since I started track in 7th grade. Running is a way of life for me, and always has been, so being able to run after high school would be a priveleg. I strongly believe in the motto "no man left behind", and the fact that you are only as strong as your team. Yes, track is more of an individual sport in some aspects, but I've found that having a strong team bond, and everyone striving to get that much better everyday makes for a power house of a team. I personally think I could add a lot of positive energy to any team I am a part of. I'm all for the enjoyment and love of the sport, and when it's go time I'm ready, and am able to remain focused no matter what comes my way. Why am I different than other athletes? That's a good question. Everyone has over come something or another, and I believe in fighting till the end. No matter how hard the challenge I will finish everything I start. I am ready for anything at all times, and I have the perseverance to push all the way. This sport is all about the mental and letting your body endure the pain it takes to be the greatest. I am far from the greatest, but invision it through every work out and race, and one day hope to be. This is the attitude I bring to the table at all times including academics. I am a "STUDENT" athlete which means my studies, my education, always come first. Yes I have a undeniable passion for the sport, but school is #1 in my book, as I believe it should be for most. I didn't always think this way so I try, and set an example for the lower classmen. I try and set an example every where I go due to the fact that I am always representing something. Weather it be my family, my city, my school, my TEAM I am a representative, and must carry myself in the best form possible. I am a mentally and physically committed human being, and my plan is to succeed. So I hope to hear from you so we can succeed together, and can be part of something great.
