My name is Calene and I've been running track for six years. My freshmen year of high school, I was placed on the varsity girls track team. My collegiate goals and aspirations, is to one day participate in the Olympics. I am interested in running for a school which is competitive.
What makes you a good candidate for their team?
I have a natural born talent, I'm a fast learner and with the right training, I can easily apply corrections and pick up new things quickly.
What makes you different from other recruits in character, athletics and academics?
I feel that my selflessness separates me from others. I've been awarded Dual County Leauge All-star for five consecutive seasons and received The Boston Globe All-Scholastic Award (2014). Academically, I am always striving to do better.
Although Track & field is my passion, I enjoy helping others. Having an autistic sibling has peaked my interest in becoming an autism spectrum disorder specialist. One day I hope to learn about and educate others about Autism.
