In early spring of 2014, I was diagnosed with anterior compartment syndrome (ACS) and was told by doctors I would not be able to run again. However doctors don't know everything, and in the fall of 2015 I was finally able to run again.
I have persevered and grown from ACS surgery and a hip injury during my high school running career. Through these injuries I've learned how to train better, smarter and more efficiently in order to maximize the short time I had before seasons to get in shape.
My 1450 new SAT score, 3.94/4.00 GPA, and 4s or 5s on AP exams prove my abilities as a determined hard working, student athlete. I am able to manage a full schedule of school work, running and volunteering at childrens art lessons/camp.
I am a very passionate well rounded individual, both on the track, in the classroom and in extracurriculars, like piano, NAMiss pageantry and volunteering.
