Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Elisabeth Cooke and I'm a senior at East Longmeadow High School. I have competed in track & field since my freshman year. I specialize in shot put and discus, but I plan to learn hammer this summer and during the upcoming seasons. During my sophomore and junior year, I was voted "most dedicated" to the team by my teammates. My junior year, I was a captain of both the indoor and outdoor track teams.
I had never been a part of any athletics until my freshman year of high school. When I joined the track team, I quickly fell in love with the sport. I learned that my favorite parts about track and field are the team atmosphere and seeing hard work turn into results. I hope to find a school that will give me a great education in psychology while also allowing me to compete in track and field. I would like to find a school in New England.
