My name is Modesty Lorick. I am 5'4, I weigh 126lbs, and I am a multi-talented track and field student-athlete. My Sophomore year I won Regional titles in Triple Jump,Long Jump and the 300m Hurdles. I was also a part of the All - County 1st Team for the State of Maryland. I am ranked 10th Nationally in the girls Intermediate Heptathlon. During my Junior year I won my first State title in the 55-meter hurdle with a time of 8.32 seconds. During the 2012 outdoor season, I won Regional titles the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles. At the State meet I won the 100-meter hurdle and also led my 4x4 relay team to win a state title. I was a part of the All-County 1st team and All-Met honorable mentions. I am also Captain of my High School track team. I show great leadership and I motivate each of my teammates to work hard and perform to their best ability. I consider myself a hard worker because I am always finding new ways to better myself and I am also the last one to leave practice. It is my goal and dream to run track in college in hopes to only accomplish greater things. I am undecided on a school choice but I am open to different types of schools. My goal is to major in Athletic training. It is also my goal as a freshman in college to contribute to my track team in order to accomplish many goals not only as an individual but as well as a team. I am the oldest out of 3 siblings and any financial assistance will be greatly appreciated.
