Regyn Davis-Young '14 Recruiting Profile

I have been active in sports for over 6 years.  I've been a part of a competitive jump rope team as well as played volleyball, softball, soccer and of course track and field.  I didn't begin my track and field career until my freshman year in high school.  I started as a runner, went into the long jump and eventually settled into shot put and discus.  I had no idea that I would find my niche' on the field.  My biggest accomplishment as of yet is placing first in shot put at the 2013 Private and Independent Schools Invitational.  My goal is to throw shot put, discus and hammer in college, and become very successful at it.

I would like to study athletic training as my under graduate and physical therapy and rehabilitation as my graduate. Therefore, my ultimate goal is to become an athletic trainer. After I finish college I want to start small and use my education at a high school, then at a college, and last but not least hopefully I can take my training to the leagues. I have big hopes and dreams. Not only do I love throwing shot put and discus, I want to fulfill my dream of becoming an athletic trainer in the professional sports arena.
