Personal Statement

My names Crystal Lynn Crowell I am 17 year old senior at Lawrence High School. Currently (3/10/2014) I am continuing my college search for a college with a strong academic reputation, and for the chance to be a thrower at the next level. Through my four years I have placed at many conference championship meets for shot put and discus. I have had captain ship as a freshman in outdoor track, sophomore indoor and outdoor, and now senior year indoor and hopefully outdoor but that has yet to come. I received the Ray Winship Award as a sophomore that is given to one male and one female athlete that displays the most leadership, dedication, and sportsmanship. As a junior I coached track and field for a local communities recreation program for USATF. Also as a senior I received the prestigious KVAC-All Academic award, and the longevity award. Overall I have put my academics first and my track life second but they have always been priority number one! Having accomplished what I have I think the greatest honor I ever had was when I realizes how important the sport of track was to me as a Junior. I went through some very hard times but made it threw. Knowing what I know now no matter what the day I just feel blessed to be capable to throw the shot put with some of the greatest people in my life.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
