Hi, my name is Joycelyn Daggs. I am currently an 12th grader at Thibodaux High School of Thibodaux,La. I graduate in 2013 and plan to start college in the fall of 2013. My extracurricular activities are volleyball, basketball, track, band, and also my clubs: Beta, Drama, and FCA. I am very active, I love being involved in things. I play my sports and do so many things to stay out of trouble and to stay fit and being able to apply myself. In anything I do, I do it to the best of my ability, I go hard at all times. On May 5, 2012, I competed in a State Championship for track & field at LSU, and I am now 3rd in State for Long Jump and 6th in State in Triple Jump. This summer, July 28- Aug 4, participated in the Junior Olympics. I was able to compete there because I was Young Women's Triple Jump Champion, Young Women's 4x400 Champion, 5th in Long Jump, and 3rd in the 4x100. If I don't get it, I am a person that is willing to learn. I believe that there is always room for improving, and I am ready for it. I am very friendly, willing to help and meet new people, I love to make people happy and keep them smiling, so I'm outgoing, I don't have or show any bad attitudes. There are two disadvantages that I have that I am trying my best to make advantages are using my left hand for basketball and when I do something wrong, I tend to hang my head for some seconds. The good thingis that I am getting better with that. I am beginning to have a lot of confidence in myself.
