Determination, passion, & motivation...these are three key aspects of a great athlete in any sport. You have to be determined to push yourself beyond your limits and work hard to achieve your goals; big or small. It would be pretty hard to do these things if your heart is not in it, which is why passion is a big part too. An athlete's passion for the sport is what drives him/her to have that competitiveness and want to do better. You also have to stay motivated! Its very important that you don't give up in any situation. The only thing you can do with failure is learn from it. Now that you know my mind set on becoming a great athlete, I will tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Taneisha Allen; I live in Oberlin, Louisiana and currently attend Oberlin High School. I participate in varsity softball and track and field. I try my best in both of these sports to be the best athlete that I can be. I am always open to criticism to improve the way I prepare for and perform at any event. I have been a member of our varsity track and field team since my eight grade year. Since then, I have not only competed but also placed at the state meet every year; in relays and individual events. For quite some time now it has been a dream of mine to compete on the collegiate level and I am willing to work hard and sacrifice to get there. My focus is not only on sports though; I am also doing very well in academics too. I maintain a 4.0 gpa and am a member of the senior beta club. Everyday, not only do I push myself to be the best that I can and excel in athletics and academics, but also as an individual as a whole. A positive attitude and outlook on things is very important and beneficial to not only myself but to others around me! Thank you for taking some time to learn extra information about me.
