I would love continue track past the high school level while getting a quality education for my future. I am undecided on my major, leaning towards Communications and Media. I love meeting new people and am looking forward to new experiences in my life. I am a team player, even though fielding is considered individual, I still contributed to my team. My official stats are available at quickstats.com. I am also involved in softball,& show choir, and I work at Scheels during the holidays. I took my ACT and received a 26 took the PSAT in October of 2013 and received a 48 in reading, 46 in math, and a 50 in writing. My 2014 Junior year season opened for me on 3/29/14 in my first 4A track meet with a 1st place finish in Discus, and a 3rd place finish in Shot Put at Simpson College. I have broken the 1981 Norwalk HS record for discus, qualified and placed 12th at the Drake relays. We were moved up to 4A this year and have been told they are moving us back down next year to again be 3A. I have found the competition in 4A has driven me to improve my distances. My season closed for me on 5/23/14 as a State qualifier for shot and discus in 4A as well this year and placed 10th in the discus and 18th in the shot put. I feel if I had a dedicated throwing coach I would be more successful with my distances. MVP for the track team in 2014 Varsity Letter - 2012, 2013, and 2014, I had experimented with rotation my sophomore, but I have decided to return to gliding after discussion with my personal and high school coaches. I have won 1st place in all track meets but 2 for shot and usually placed in the top 3 for discus.
I am a third-year State qualifier in discus and shot put this year we were moved to 4A. I placed 2nd in discus and 4th for shot in the Little Hawkeye Conference and was 2nd place for districts in discus and 3rd place in shot put. In 2013 I was the Little Hawkeye Conference shot put champion, and earned 2nd place for discus. I was the 2013 District champion on both shot put and discus. State Qualifier in 3A Shot put and 3A Discus 2012 and 2013. I place 1-3 in most meets I compete in, my goal is to always place 1st in any meet.I also received academic all-conference as well. I am determined, smart, and thrive in competition!!!
