Track is my favorite sport. I'm a very hard worker and dedicated to the sport. I've been told I'm very coachable. My coaches enjoy coaching me because of my positive attitude and my work ethic.
I'm going to be a senior. I ran Varsity my freshman and sophomore year. I was named most valuable runner both years. Each year I have continued to improve my time.
In 2015 I joined the Mississippi Track Club. I improved during summer track. I qualified for nationals(AAU and USATF) in my first year for 400 hurdles. I set a pr to end my season (67.55) http://www.usatf.tv/gprofile.php?mgroup_id=45365&do=videos&video_id=153999 I finished 19th in USATF, and 29th in AAU.
I believe I still have room to improve in the events I participate in. I plan to continue to work hard and maximize my potential so that I can compete track at the collegiate level.
This summer (2016), I again joined the Mississippi Valley Track Club. I qualified for nationals in the heptathlon, 400 hurdles, and javelin. At the AAU Regional Meet I broke the meet record in javelin with a throw of 103 ft 8 in. It was a great season for me.
