Personal Statement
Both my Mother and Farther are dedicated sportsmen and I was introduced to different kinds of sport at a young age (Grade 1). I excelled in running, swimming and ball sports and ended up competing at national level in athletics, swimming, biathlon, cross country and netball. I have learned that it is not important how you start in life but how you finish. I am very focused and goal orientated and I am 100% committed to achieving my goals. I have worked hard to receive excellent grades in High School. My goal is to achieve an academic and athletic scholarship to enable me to study medicine at the best University in the world. I have to do this on my own because my family will not be able to support me financially in this endeavor.
I am also a dedicated huntress and an excellent bow and rifle shot. Having grown up in the bush with my Farther on Safari. I love the outdoors. I am an excellent chef and can cater for groups of people. I am a good artist and love art history. I had to start school in a different language than my home language, which forced me to work harder academically. This was a difficult obstacle to overcome but I have achieved this and I’m fluent in 2 languages and can help myself in 2 more.
