Sophie Glassford '12 Recruiting Profile

I love to run and am typically the last girl to leave practice. I work hard because I love challenging myself to continue improving and competing at my best. I started running competitively after fourth grade; I ran my first 5k with some friends in honor of our elementary school gym teacher who had a stroke. I want to keep competing in college, but I want to go to a school where a student-athlete is just that: a student first. I am fairly sure that I want to major in anthropology and take the prerequisites for medical school, but I'm not entirely sure about major. I'm looking at small and medium-sized schools because individualized attention is important to me. I am interested in liberal arts colleges. I want to attend a school that has a lot to offer their students academically, athletically, and generally.  Most importantly, I want to come out of college a well-rounded individual who is prepared to succeed in work and in life.
