Bosibori Mosongo '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Bosi Mosongo from Indianapolis, Indiana. As a 6’ 2’’ female I was introduced to the high jump my freshman year by a graduating senior. However I didn’t have any formal training until last year. After my school hired a jumps coach I focused on my form and improved my PR from 4’8’’ to 5’4’. My greatest accomplishments include jumping 5’5’’ at Culver Summer Military Camps (breaking the school record), becoming a sectional champion this year with a consistent 5’3’’ jump and coming in 2nd place at the 2014 Indoor State Meet. Furthermore, I was selected to receive the Fields MVP award at my school.  I have also been running the 400meter dash (60:02) and various other sprints and middle distance runs for Park Tudor High School since seventh grade, but my aim is to focus on jumping in college.
I attend Park Tudor School, a private college prep school where I have taken 5 AP courses and have a weighted GPA of 3.4. I plan on taking the ACT and the SAT later this fall. I am part of many diverse clubs that help our community such as Environmental Club, CAFÉ Club, Gay-Straight Alliance, Yearbook, Girl Scouts, Student Council, Model UN, and Habitat for Humanity and look forward to joining similar clubs in college. Photography is my passion and favorite class because I get the opportunity to capture moments and tell stories.
