I've been running track since I was in third grade. It started with just summer AAU track and right away I loved it. I competed in the AAU junior Olympics in 2007. I've always dreamed about competing at the college level!
I just started running the 400 hundred the end of my sophomore year without ever running it and it had developed into my best race. With a great coach I believe I could really stand out in the 400. This last year my best 400 time was around a 59 but this year I'm striving to run a 57 if not faster. Long jump is definitely my strong suit! I love it so much and I just keep pushing my self to get better and better. This last year I competed at the state meet at IU and placed 7th over all for long jump with a jump of 18'1". My goal for my senior year is to land a 19 footer and place higher at the state meet!
I'm always looking to become a better athlete in any way! I want to come in and make some big contributions to the team right away I have always been a big contributor and great team leader! I have big expectations for myself as an athlete competing at the next level.
I work extremely hard not only on the track but in the classroom as well school is very important to me. My parents have always pushed me to get good grades and that school comes before sports and friends.
I want to attend a college that is right for me! I want to be pushed in the class and on the track. I want to be in a positive atmosphere and around people that want to compete and get better everyday. I want to keep pursuing my track career and college is the next step
