Going to the 6A Georgia State Meet as an alternate my freshman year really opened my eyes to the world of track and field. As my sports career continued, I managed to make it to state for triple jump my sophomore and junior year (placing 11th and 9th, respectively) and for the 4x100 relay my junior year. I was also fortunate enough to obtain the region champion title in 2016 all while balancing my 4.0 GPA, AP classes, an off and on campus job, and volunteer work.
I believe competing at a collegiate level will help me grow as a person as I will be able to further develop on my competitive drive and determination.
