I've been playing sports since I was 4 years old. I tried everything: gymnastics, karate, basketball, baseball, and even ballet. I found a love for basketball and baseball and kept with it for many years, later going from baseball to softball as I went into middle school. I took a shot at track and field when I was in 8th grade, just to test the waters and see if I was good. Well, I wasn't great, but I had the potential to do something great. I am now a dedicated track student-athlete. I wish to go to a college or university on a track and academic scholarship. I've had a deep passion for animals since I was young, and wish to major in Animal Behavior Sciences. I hope my talents take me far in life and lead me to make a difference some day. My Junior year of high school, I was undefeated in the 100m hurdles in all meets, including our County, Regional, and Sectional meet. I took my first loss at State, but reached a PR in the process. I plan to take my athletic capabilities and contribute them to whichever program I end up becoming a part of. I have a goal and a dream, and will not stop pursuing it until I've reached both. I believe being a part of a university-level track and field program will help me to reach that goal.
