Personal Statement

My name is Kwajelin Holsendolph. I am 5'3 and weigh 108lbs. I am a track runner. I run the 100m, 400m, and high jump. I also ran the 200m and am member of 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams. I have 8 years of running experience. I ran with the Fort Stewert Rockets from 2001-2005, who were with USATF and in 2006 i started running with the Southeast Elite Track team, who were with AAU. I want to play sports in college because it opens more doors for me to be seen, not just in my community but nation wide. I will have a great amount of competition that I am willing to work hard to be better then. My college choices would include: Georgia State University, located in Atlanta, Georgia; Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University, located in Tallahassee, Florida; and Tennessee State University, located in Nashville, Tennessee. The type of school I would prefer would be a school with many different opportunities. By becoming a member of my schools' track team, I can offer my team leadership, because I have been a team captain. I can also offer them motivation, because I will be able to incourage them to keep going and not give up. My desired major would be Nursing. I want to become an Obstetrics Nurse so that later in life I can become a Physician. My realistic athletic goals are to run as a freshman in college and to be able to run at the highest competition level, which will push me to be better.
