While attending college, my collegiate goals and aspirations are to not only succeed with excellent grades in my academic classes, but also to join clubs, meet friends, and succeed in my sports as well. Whether that means that I will have to walk on to try-out for my sports to get an opportunity, or to get a scholarship; I will be there, regardless. Knowing there are many women that are trying to be the best they can be in cross country or track & field, what makes me a good candidate for the team is that: 1) I am hardworking and passionate when it comes to running; 2) I am always willing to listen to criticism so I can improve myself to set and achieve higher goals; and 3) I also work well with others and love having fun with my teammates who enjoy the sport as much as I do.. One of my best qualities which has resonated over and over with my previous coaches is that I'm very coachable. I believe my willingness to learn and improve myself makes me stand out amongst other athletes. I recognize that success is not solely based only on my individual performance, but also by the support team around me that has invested their time in helping me reach my goals as well.
