I have several dreams, goals and aspirations for my future. First of all, I will pursue Pole Vaulting in College, because not only is it my passion, but I'm driven by the camaraderie of team sports. My previous years of experience as a Gymnist contributes to my great form, when I vault. I train as much as possible and seek any opportunity to be coached, even driving two hours to be trained at Pole Vault City. Last year, I set the girls pole vaulting school record at my school, as a sophomore, qualified for districts, and even qualified for regionals. When I was a Freshman, I set a goal to increase my PR by a foot each year and I hope to be vaulting over 10 feet as a Junior and continuing on to vault at least 11 feet as a senior. I also enjoy encouraging my teammates to vault higher and to work together, so that our team will be more competitive. Since I am only allowed to practice vaulting during track season at my school, I dream for the day, when I can be on a team that trains on a regular basis. With regular training on a Collegiate Pole Vaulting Team, there is no limit to my vaulting potential. My passionate energy, enthusiastic aspirations and eagerness to train make me a recruiters dream!
Goals can't be achieved unless you try, which is why I'm always looking for creative ways to use my energy and athleticism, in positive ways. Recently I started a fund raiser called, Surfing for a Cause. Proudly, I donated the considerable proceeds to the University of Florida, Women's Cancer Research Fund in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness month. I contacted Guinness Book of World Records about considering a world record for longest time surfing a wave by a female and they agreed. There was only a record category for a male; so I set an unofficial record on 9/15/13 at one hour and three minutes of continuously surfing a wave without falling down. During my official record on 10/21/13, the boat ran out of fuel, after I surfed for one hour and ten minutes. I will attempt the record again in 2014, but my goal is to surpass the male record of 3 hours and 55 minutes achieved on the Panama Canal. My record attempt for a female has been submitted to Guinness Book of World Records for verification.
Academically, my aspiration is to achieve a Masters or a Doctorate Degree. I apply the same competitive spirit in the classroom and strive for high grades which is reflected in my G.P.A. Some careers that I have thought about: Pediatrician, Attorney, Professor, Public Relations, Education or even pursuing a career with the Air Force. Whatever career that I choose, it can not be a desk job because I am very energetic, personable and need to spring into action.
