Lindsay Tomaini '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lindsay Tomaini and I am currently a Junior at the Community School of Naples.  I work extremely hard to excel in both the classroom and with my running.  I presently compete in both Varsity Track & Cross Country.  I been been competing at the Varsity level in both sports since the 8th grade having qualified multiple times for the State meets in both sports.  

I have earned All-Region, All-Area and have been named to the Florida Athletic Coaches Association (FACA) State team following my 8th Grade, Freshman, Sophomore and Junior (XC) seasons in both Track & Cross Country.  Most recently, I earned top ten finishes following my last three seasons,  placing 6th overall in the 3200M as a Junior at States and 7th overall in Cross Country in the State.  

I love to run and love to work hard!  This Track Season I have improved my personal records in the 3200M & the 1600M to 11:14 & 5:13 respectively earning National Elite status in both events.  I am currently continuing to work hard with plans to improve both times further. I have a full slate of work ahead this summer as I continue to introduce the weight into my training.  I will continue to run with my DDD track club this summer and plan on spending at least 2 weeks at Coach Trent Sanderson's Team Prep USA camp in July in the Colorado Mountains. 

Academically I currently maintain a 3.7 GPA, while taking a rigorous curriculum including AP & Honors courses.  I have recorded a composite score of 28 on the ACT after taking the test this June.  I am planning on taking the ACT again in September 2015 with the goal of improving my scores futher.

I would love the opportunity to run Track & Cross Country at the Collegiate level and am confident that I will be an asset to any team I am fortunate enough to become a part of..
