Hi my name is Hunter Wesley. I am the class of 2017, and currently attend St.Elizabeth High School which is located in Wilmington,DE. My goal is to continue my education and pursue a degree in Psychology. I also want to compete competitively at the collegiate level for Track & Field. I have ran at the varsity level for the past two years and have had tremendous success, and major improvement at this level. I believe my senior year Track & Field season will be the best season I've had out of my High School career. During the summer I run and train for Higher Heights Track Club in Delaware. I am extremely hard working, and determined on and off the track. My sophomore year I was the Girls Varsity Track & Field Team Captain. I also was given the award for Maroon & Gold Athlete of the Week during my sophomore year as well. My sophomore and Junior year I have been awarded my Track & Field Teams Sportsmanship award for our outdoor seasons. I know what it takes to be a leader in the classroom as well. My Junior year I was elected to be a representative of my school's Student Leadership Group. On the track I am extremely coachable, I always set new goals for myself, and I take advantage of all the advice my coaches give me. In order to be a successful runner I believe that you have to face defeat, and fight the challenges that come your way. This gives me extreme motivation on the track to always strive for greatness and never give up before the finish line. I just started running the 300M hurdles my Junior year and qualified for the DIAA State Championships. I finished 8th for D2 High School runners in the 300M hurdles In Delaware. I am a very competitive and humble Athlete, and never lose my cool when I face challenges, or tough competition. I will continue working hard, reaching and setting new goals one race at a time.
