Maria Anderson '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Maria Anderson and I have been running since 5th grade. I started running on my school's cross country team in 6th grade, and on my high school track team in 9th grade. It started with my mother bringing me along on runs, and now I actively coach her to help her improve her performance. My goal in life is to become a well rounded person and to inspire people like so many of my teachers and coaches have inspired me. I love running and I always tell myself that I can do better. If I do have a bad day, I look at it as a way to learn from my mistakes. I don't quit and I don't back out of workouts unless needed. I have a very strong drive and I always try to do my best in anything that I attempt. I love cross country and track and field and I would love to compete at any level in college.
